The work week will begin cloudy, rainy and cool after a cold front moves through overnight Sunday into Monday. Scattered showers and storms will end by mid-morning Monday, with cloudy skies the remainder of the day and highs only in the low 70s.
As the front stalls to the south of Mid-Missouri, several disturbances will move along the front, bringing rain chances Tuesday through Thursday. Another cold front is forecast to move in late Thursday into Friday, bringing additional showers and drier air for next weekend.
No day will be a complete washout, but you'll want to keep an umbrella handy through the work week. Rainfall amounts could be considerable by the week's end. Potential rainfall totals of 1-2" by Friday are possible, although Mid-Missouri is about 7.7" below normal in rainfall since June 1.
