An arctic front will drop temperatures Wednesday afternoon and evening as snow develops late in the day. Light snow will spread into northwestern Missouri during the afternoon, moving into mid-Missouri through early evening. Steady snow is expected through the evening, tapering off from west to east after midnight, ending by Thursday morning.  Widespread accumulations of 2 inches are expected with some areas up to 3 inches by early Thursday morning.

Temperatures will drop into the 20s during the evening hours Wednesday with roads becoming  snow covered as overnight temperatures  fall through the teens and near 10 by early Thursday morning. Slower travel is expected for the morning commute Thursday due to snow covered roads.
