A cool weather pattern is setting up for the next 2 weeks in mid-Missouri as the jet stream dives south from Canada occasionally, sending chilly air into Missouri. Temperatures will be slightly below average through Oct. 22nd with daytime highs in the low 60s and nights in the low 40s.

Medium range forecast models indicate that another surge of cooler air will move in around October 23rd and stick around through the 29th. This could lead to our first widespread frost by the end of next week as temperatures drop into the 30s at night and stay in the upper 40s and lower 50s during the day. Only light amounts of rain are expected through the end of October, coming in below average for the month.
