Unsettled weather will start the work week with shower and t-storm chances from early Monday morning through Tuesday afternoon. Showers will develop in western Missouri by daybreak Monday, spreading east through the morning. Isolated t-storms are possible through the day Monday. The rain will taper off late in the day Monday but increase overnight with widespread showers and t-storms, some which could have heavy rain. Periods of showers and t-storms are likely through the day Tuesday with rain chances decreasing by evening.
Through Tuesday, widespread rainfall amounts of a half inch to an inch are expected with some areas at 2 inches or slightly more. Areas south of I-70 and west toward HWY 65 have the best chance of heavy rainfall while farther north and east will have lighter amounts.
