***UPDATED 11 AM SAT***

A strong storm system moving into mid-Missouri is bringing windy and warm weather along with a chance of showers and t-storms. A few showers are possible Saturday morning. As the first batch of showers move out, pockets of sunshine will move in during the afternoon, warming our temperatures to near 70.  This will lead to a slight chance of  storms during the late afternoon mainly north of HWY 24 which could become strong or severe. However, the chance of storms forming is low.

The chance of t-storms increases during the evening as low level moisture increases ahead of a strong cold front. There is a slight chance storms could become severe with damaging winds the primary threat and some large hail possible. Also, due to the large amount of wind shear, there is a chance of an isolated tornado mainly in northern Missouri, north of HWY 36.
