A quick moving storm system will bring light snow to the area during the day Friday. Snow will move in around noon at the Lake of the Ozarks and spread to the northeast through the afternoon, shifting to the east and ending during the evening. Freezing drizzle is possible Friday evening which could lead to a glaze of ice. Snow amounts will likely come in around an inch with up to 2 inches possible.

Moisture increases again Saturday night ahead of a stronger storm system which will impact the area through Sunday. Light snow is expected to spread across northern Missouri while freezing drizzle develops south of I-70. Precipitation will increase Sunday morning with freezing rain and sleet changing to snow, tapering off Sunday evening. There is the potential for ice and several inches of snow Sunday. We will have updated information and expected snow and ice totals as new data comes in.
