It will feel more like fall the next few days as temperatures stay well below average for this time of year. Low temperatures will fall into the lower 50s Monday and Tuesday night with a possible record low early Wednesday morning. The current record low  in Columbia for July 16th is 53 from 1930 but we are expected to drop to 52.

Afternoon highs will only reach into the 70s which is well below the 30 year average of 88 for mid-July. We will pick up some afternoon clouds each day as weak upper level disturbances move through but no rain is expected through the work week.

Winds will shift to the southeast by the end of the week, allowing warmer and more humid air to move in for next weekend. Temperatures will get back to normal by the start of next week.
