Saturday night a ridge will begin building over Missouri. This means that southern air will be able to push into the area. On Sunday Mid-Missouri will experience a strong southerly breeze, up to 20 mph during the afternoon. With this southerly breeze and mostly sunny skies Mid-Missouri will be able to see temperatures above average to start the week.

By Sunday afternoon high temperatures will be reaching into the low-to-mid 70s. Sunday night Mid-Missouri will barely cool down, with overnight lows only dropping to near 50. The warm weather will continue into Monday afternoon as well, with high temperatures to start the work week in the mid 70s.

The warm-up will be kept brief, due to a cold front that will move into the area Monday afternoon/evening. This front will bring temperatures back down into the 50s for Tuesday.
