The holiday weekend will get off to a great start with mostly sunny skies and mild temperatures Friday. Independence Day will start off cool with early morning temperatures in the upper 50s, rising to near 80 in the afternoon and light southeasterly winds. The dry weather will continue into Friday evening as temperatures cool to near 70 by 10 PM.
There is a chance of a shower or t-storm Saturday mainly in the first half of the day with the best chance north of I-70. Under partly cloudy skies, afternoon temperatures will reach the lower 80s Saturday but climb into the upper 80s Sunday with more humidity. There will be plenty of dry time this weekend but a pop up shower or t-storm is possible.
