This is from the same neighborhood where we had the straight line wind damage.
The storm that blew through last night left a large tree on our home here in mexico. Good amount of damage and no electricity until we can get tree off house. Was lots of branches and things down around town.

While out watching for the Perseids Meteor Shower I took this Startrail image. It was almost 2 hours in duration. :)
The Sun sets on July 10th, about as far north as it gets from Columbia. For the next several months, until the Winter Solstice, the Sun will move south, to the left, along the horizon as it sets.
The Moon was coming up as the sun was setting.

Funnel cloud over California about 5:20 this evening. This picture was taken at High Point.
I happened to look out our window and saw this cloud forming. I kept thinking it can not be a tornado. When I saw the swirling I knew that is exactly what it was! It dissipated quickly and never touched down.

There was a full rainbow and you could see the end of it just across the street from where we live. Its an amazing shot.

This picture was taken on Sunday evening 5/21/13, standing at my backdoor. It was so strange to see the clear sunset, storm above, and lightening all around.
The large walnut tree, along with about 15+ other trees on our property fell over and tossed around like sticks during the storm.
