One flown to hospital after crash near Apache Flats

COLE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two people were taken to University Hospital with moderate injuries early Thursday morning after a crash near Apache Flats west of Jefferson City.

The car was driving along Country Club Drive just north of Business 50 West around 2:40 a.m. when the crash happened, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The car went around a curve, went off the side of the road and hit a wall, according to the crash report. The car then flipped over, the crash report said.

The driver of the car, Joey T. Hampton, 34, of Jefferson City, was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

Isiah E. Laws, 28, of Macks Creek, was flown to the hospital with moderate injuries.

As of Thursday afternoon, Laws was in fair condition.
