Single vehicle motorcycle crash leaves one dead

BOONE COUNTY Mo. (KMIZ)

Authorities are investigating after the driver of a motorcycle died in a crash in east Boone County Friday night.

The crash happened around 10:20 p.m. near East Mexico Gravel Road and North Route Z.

According to the crash report, 34-year-old, Marcus E. Hough of Hallsville, veered off of the right side of the road and flipped.

University paramedics pronounced Hough dead at the scene.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed it was a single vehicle accident and the driver was wearing a helmet.

Along with the MSHP, our crews saw Boone County Sheriff's deputies, MU health officials and Boone Hospital officials on scene.

This is MSHP Troop F's 6th fatality of September and 57th of 2020.
