Keytesville man sentenced 72 years for sex crimes against children

KEYTESVILLE, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Chariton County judge sentenced a Keytesville man to 72 years in prison for multiple counts of sex crimes against six children.

59-year-old Edward Schrock pled guilty in June 2020 to three counts of first-degree statutory sodomy of a child under twelve years old, two counts of first-degree child molestation of a child under fourteen years old, and one count of sexual misconduct involving a child by coercion or inducement.

According to the release, Schrock abused his own family and family friends.

Judge Terry Tschannen stated that Schrock’s abuse of children who held their elders in a position of trust was “disgusting” and “reprehensible.”
