COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans' Hospital received a donation of 20,000 cloth masks from the U.S. Exercise Tiger Foundation (USTF) as part of the organization’s “Mask A Vet” campaign.

A hospital spokesman says the masks will be offered to veterans who show up without one.

The USTF has given 1,050 masks per day on average since the program began last month.

The purpose of the campaign is to provide masks for every Veteran and his/her family to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
