JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A group of activists including educators and those who have lost loved ones to COVID-19 joined with Missouri House Democrats on Tuesday to push the governor for more action on COVID-19.

The activists and House members held a news conference Tuesday afternoon in the Missouri Capitol.

The event is in conjunction with the Marked by COVID National Day of Action, which seeks to put faces on those lost to the COVID-19 pandemic. The day of action is set for Thursday, but the event was held two days early to coincide with the General Assembly's special session.
