Police find shell casings in north Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Police say they found shell casings after a call of shots fired on Derby Ridge Drive late Wednesday.

Police were sent to the 3500 block of Derby Ridge at about 10:45 p.m. on a shots-fired call. Officers found casings but no reports of injuries or property damage, according to a Columbia Police Department news release.

Witnesses described seeing a small, tan passenger car in the area.

Police said no other details were available.
