Man allegedly holds knife to people in apartment complex

COLUMBIA, Mo. - A man was arrested and charged on Monday after he allegedly held a knife to two people in an apartment complex on Merchant Street in Columbia. 

According to court documents, Randall Harper approached one of the victims at the complex and grabbed him, holding a knife to his back. The victim told police Harper threatened to kill him. The first victim had minor lacerations to his neck and hands.

Shortly after, Harper allegedly retrieved another knife and went to the door of another victim. He pointed the knife at her and came toward her, according to court documents. The woman ran to her neighbor's apartment for safety.

Police were able to take Harper into custody. He's being held in the Boone County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
