Small fire causes evacuation at Compass Health Network McCambridge Center in Columbia

Scene at Compass Health Network McCambridge Center

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia firefighters responded early Sunday morning after a fire alarm was pulled inside of Compass Health Network McCambridge Center.

Once on scene, crews could see smoke and once inside, they were able to locate a small fire inside of a closet.

Fire crews could be seen carrying hoses into the building, as well as setting up fans to help with smoke.

Crews were then able to extinguish that fire. Fire Marshalls are currently on scene and are investigating the cause of that fire.

ABC 17 News spoke with crews on scene who said the fire alarm notified those inside the building and everyone was able to make it out safely.
