Two victims transported to hospital after shooting in Jefferson City

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Jefferson City Police responded to an EMS request just after 5 a.m. Sunday.

Police responded to the 700 block of Jefferson St., The Tiger Den, to find 20-30 people surrounding the business.

Once officers were able to make it to the the scene, they located two victims. The first victim, a 22 year old male, suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

The second victim, a 27 year old female, was also suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Crews on scene also found a glass window shattered with glass shards on the ground.

Both victims were given medical attention on scene, before eventually being transported to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police haven't released a motive, and say they don't have anyone in custody at this time.
