COLUMBIA, Mo. - UPDATE 5:08 pm: Glover has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon, assault and armed criminal action.
According to the probable cause statement, Glover stated the people in the victim's vehicle had "snitched on him."
Glover proceeded to follow the victim's car to the Greens apartment complex and parked behind the vehicle he followed, blocking them into a parking spot, police said.
Glover allegedly started kicking and hitting the victim's car and then pulled out a gun and began firing it at the car before running from the scene.
UPDATE 12:20 p.m.: Two people have been arrested after an early morning shooting on Clark Ln.
Detectives say they arrested 18-year-old Anquan Eugene Glover of Columbia at 2:43 a.m. at 5129 Clark Ln--the original scene--for armed criminal action and three counts of assault in the first degree. They also arrested 21-year-old Tavious Avier Grant of Columbia at Eastwood and Clark Lane for misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and a felony warrant for property damage.
Officers say Glover was riding in a car with three other adults and two juveniles. They say that car was traveling in the area of Clark Ln. when Glover told the driver to follow another car because the people in it had "snitched" on him.
They say the driver followed the victim's car, which had three people inside, into the Greens apartment complex and parked alongside the car, blocking them into a parking space. According to police, Glover then came out of the suspect car and started kicking and hitting the driver's door and window. He then pulled out a silver handgun and started shooting at the car before he ran. Police say they found over 16 shell casings. Officers later found a silver handgun while searching the golf course near the apartment complex.
As ABC 17 News previously reported, witnesses saw a car leaving the scene in the 5100 block of Clark Lane as well as one person running away from the area. One of the cars leaving the area was seen pulling into the parking lot of the Quik Trip on Clark Lane. Police have now identified that car as the victim's vehicle. While officers were talking to the people in that car at the Quik Trip, the suspect car drove by.
Police say Grant was a passenger in the suspect car. He was wearing a backpack when he was detained at Clark Ln and Eastwood Drive. Inside that backpack, police found approximately 29 grams of marijuana.
Police continue to say there are no reported injuries from the incident.
UPDATE: 10 a.m.: Police have confirmed they took six people into custody after a shots fired call in north Columbia.
According to police, around 1:30 a.m. officers were called to the 5100 block of Clark Lane for a shots fired call. Witnesses told people they saw a car leaving the area and one person running from the scene.
Police saw one car pull into the Quick Trip parking lot about a mile from the original call.
Police say the car had damage from bullets.
According to officers, while investigating at the Quick Trip, they saw another car possibly involved drive by. They stopped that car on Eastwood Drive at Clark Lane.
Officers took three adults and two juveniles into custody at the Eastwood scene; police took one person into custody at the first scene.
Police also found multiple cars that were not involved in the shots fired call that had been damaged by gunfire.
ORIGINAL STORY: Police took multiple people into custody Tuesday in northeast Columbia after a report of shots fired.
Columbia police first responded around midnight to the Greens at Columbia apartments, according to an officer on scene. The officer said police arrested one person there.
Officers later detained another five people near Clark Lane and Eastwood Drive for the same shots fired incident, the officer said.
Police said there were no reports of injuries.
