Mizzou football coach stresses importance of next two weeks

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou football coach Eli Drinkwitz said the next two weeks will be crucial for the Tigers. You can watch his entire news conference in the video player above.

MU students started school on Monday, and Drinkwitz said it'll be clear whether or not they are following COVID-19 protocols.

"We got to see what happens in two weeks," Drinkwitz said. "That’s the incubation period for this virus. It’s 2-14 days, and that’s when you’re going to know. 14 days from now, we’ll know if everybody’s taking it serious."

Drinkwitz added, "Those pictures at Brookside, the apartment complex, over the weekend didn’t look like we were real close, so we have some work to do."

Mizzou wrapped up Day 6 of Fall Camp on Tuesday. You can watch our full interviews with tight end Brendan Scales, offensive lineman Thalen Robinson and wide receiver Barrett Banister in the video players below.
