Mizzou soccer home opener postponed due to opponent COVID-19 concerns

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The SEC has postponed the Mizzou soccer team's home opener against Florida on Saturday due to COVID-19 concerns within the Florida program.

According to a release from MU, three Florida soccer players have tested positive for COVID-19. The decision to postpone the match complies with the recommendations of the SEC's Medical Guidance Task Force.

Per the release - MU and Florida will try to play sometime later in the season. MU will now open up its season on the road against South Carolina on Sept. 27.
