Tracking steamy temperatures each day, late week storms

TONIGHT: Mostly clear with patchy fog early Tuesday. Lows in the low 70s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny with a spot storm possible by afternoon. Highs in the low 90s. Heat index between 95-98 degrees.

EXTENDED: High pressure dominates our weather yet again this week with little chance for rain until late in the week. Heat will be the main story with highs in the 90s each day and the heat index approaching or above 100 degrees all week. A strong disturbance will slide across Mid-Missouri on Thursday, with more forcing available to get storms going Thursday afternoon and evening. Storm chances continue into Friday and the weekend with the edge of upper high pressure sending disturbances our way from the northwest. A few storms could be on the stronger side with heavy rain and gusty winds. Heat and humidity hold into the weekend with highs in the low 90s and lows in the low 70s.
