Storms chance this evening, sun returns for the weekend!

THIS AFTERNOON: Clouds continue to hold strong across most of the viewing area. Spotty mist/drizzle is possible. Some heavier showers can't be ruled out either. Depending on if a little bit of sunshine can get going, a few storms could pop up into the early evening hours-- something to watch out for the evening HS football games.

TONIGHT: Those pockets of heavier rain and a few storms will keep up overnight. Lows will cool off into the middle 60’s.

EXTENDED:  That rain will linger into Saturday morning before working east by midday. A few showers could redevelop along a front sweeping through Saturday afternoon, but look isolated in coverage and light in nature. Highs will top out in the upper 70’s with some sunshine returning to the area. Sunday looks to make up for a week full of cloud cover with sunny skies and temperatures near 80. That will hold through the middle of next week.
