Thousands of people gathered to remember those who lost their lives protecting our country and those who continue to serve at the 27th annual Salute to America Memorial Day parade in downtown Columbia.

Man robbed outside Columbia motel near the mall

A suspect remains on the loose after robbing someone early Monday in the parking lot of a motel near the Columbia mall. He approached a 43 year-old man around 1:46 a.m. at the Royal Inn Motel near the Red Lobster on I-70 Drive Southwest.
